BONE – Postgraduate Director of the State Islamic Institute (IAIN) Bone, Prof. Sarifa Suhra, was present as a speaker at the Working Meeting which was coupled with the Professional and Character Rabbaniyyin Teacher Workshop at SDIT Amir Fil Jannah Bajoe, Tuesday (7/7/2026). Around 30 SDIT Amir Fil Jannah teachers took part in this activity.
In his presentation, Prof. Sarifa equips teachers with 20 teacher ethics contained in the book Adab Al-Alim wa Al-Muta'allim by KH. Hasyim Asy'ari, founder of Nahdlatul Ulama. Among the ethics reviewed are patience, trust, sincerity, asceticism, love of the profession, likes to discuss, and likes to publish work.
Prof. Sarifa emphasized that teachers have responsibilities that go beyond just teaching in the classroom. According to him, teachers are obliged to eliminate darkness, ignorance and poverty, as well as bring light to life.
"Teachers are not just artists on stage. Their scope and reach goes beyond artists because teachers must be able to become stars of life for students in particular and people in general," he said.
This activity also serves as a means of socializing the IAIN Bone Postgraduate program to work meeting participants, opening up opportunities for teachers to continue their studies at a higher level.
SDIT Principal Amir Fil Jannah, Muhammad Salim, S.Pd., M.Pd., welcomed this activity and hoped that the collaboration with IAIN Bone, which has existed for a long time, could continue to be strengthened, especially in implementing the Tridharma of Higher Education.
